Debated on where to post this, Mods please move if needed.

Don't have any real background, or reference materials, on medals. So, you medal experts take a look at this auction....http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350192693182

I'm seeing the exact same medal I paid $49 for, but in a NGC slab, attributed as a King 389. Seller says it is R-6, which I assume is rarity.

I have the original cardboard presentation holder and the small envelop the medal was originally delivered in. (photo below)

My question is this thing really worth upwards of the $1,475 BIN  or is he just fishing?

ps. Sorry for the poor pic, it was the original EBay seller's pic.

Interesting - on heritage I found some other king- numbers, but not the 389. Do not know the difference and one of them came with a book. Sorry not any help, but it was fun googling it. Seems like there are more books that talk about lincoln centennial medals than the medals themselves. :)

Thanks for the effort Mark. I searched also with no luck. Somebody here probably has the King catalog and can help out.
