Browsed through hubbys change and spotted a 1995 Lincoln cent missing the bottom rim from shoulder area around to date area.
Figuring someone just used it to pry something, I examined it closer under magnifier. There is no wear or damage on reverse or obverse. Thickness at missing rim area is 1.5mm.
Just noticed something else...on the reverse, the rim on the right side is almost twice as wide than the left.

So what do you guys think?

    No Im not nuts...lmao

    actually I have a crapamera...will get a better one soon :)

I just wanted to know if those errors are possible because there is absolutely no sign of it being used to pry anything or turn screws and all the writing if still perfect with no dents or scratches

the rim edge is noticeably wider on the one side

If the rim at one point is half the width of the rim 180 degrees away, you have an off-center. One so small that it affects, but doesn't eliminate, the rim on one edge would carry no error premium.

reverse... the rim is still apparent..but not on obverse

k..just examined under better lighting and the rim thins to a point before disappearing

    does that make sense?...lol

satootoko has it right, but with no pic's it's anyones guess.

It is a very common error that I see every other day or so in my pocket change.

If no camera, do you have a scanner?

You might have something. I think Roy has it on the head, with it being off centered. Could be a cud, too. Does it look a bit like this?

Doesn't sound like an off-center. Twiggs said the reverse still has the rim but the obverse doesn't. That sounds like a misaligned die. Interesting but no premium value, and more common than an off-center.
