This mint mark looks nothing like MMS-002 that should be on this coin. Would it most likely have been a die crack that caused part of the upper s to be filled and elliminating the upper serif?
What happen to your coin and the MM was damaged from circulation post mint damage it looks like that . Bill Somers
It looks like it was created by the die, whether it was deteriorated or machine doubling. See arrows.
I am agreeing with what has been stated and just restating: The heavy die flow lines indicates a late die state and some DDD coupled with what was likely a hit or push on the upper serif of the MM.
