I have never purchased a coin without looking at it until now. Yes I bought the slab, not the coin. 10 different date NGC MS 66 Red Wheat cents for $120.00, $6.40 Shipping. I phoned in my order because I really don't like internet transactions. The owner was pleasant and runs this special and others to get people on his website, hoping for more business. Check it out. http://www.cheapslabs.com/index.php?action=item&id=34522&prevaction=category&previd=2&prevstart=0
You can call him, they are mixed dates, however no duplicates will be issued. There are 9 left, was 10 until I bought one.
I don't see anything wrong with that. We choose where to take our gambles. If it's a good gamble, we benefit by it. If it's a bad one, we learn by it. What dates did you get?
Don't know, but he said no duplicates, I'll post a pic when they come in, at $12.00 per slab hard to go wrong for MS 66 coins.
My guess is that you could have done better IF you wanted to play around on eBay long enough. However, I assume that your time is worth something. You will probably get an assortment of 1954 - 1958 and they generally go for $10 or a little more so you did not get ripped by much if at all.
I'm sure it will include 54-58, however pretty sure they are supposed to be different dates. Shipping for 10 separate e-bay transactions would have added up
Lincoln Cent Deal Hello Harry. Thanks for the invite. I just signed up. I ALWAYS include (3) 1940's and (7) 1950's. The special may run out after eight years as we can no longer locate nice wheat rolls to buy. Thanks again! Alan
There you go I emailed him the link and he joined. Welcome to cointalk Alan, you are going to like it here.
I don't think it's a bad deal at all. You'd pay almost that, maybe more, on slabbing fees alone. Post some pics when you get them. Guy~
Welcome Alan, I have looked at your ads several times. Now that I will have some feedback from trusted people, I will certainly consider your offers. Again welcome. Do you collect also? I always wonder what a company's boss's collection looks like Jim
cheapslabs I have made a few purchases from cheapslabs.com, and I can say that they've always delivered just as advertised. I've never been disappointed with a purchase from them. I always look forward to that e-mail that says there are new items in the cheapslabs store!
I have one innocent question. Why is a 2006-D $1 Sacagawea BU worth 7 dollars? I think I spent a few of those today. I get them by the roll at the bank and spend about 2 rolls a week, Sac's Pres, Susan Bs Ruben
2006-D? Those weren't released into circulation to the best of my knowledge, where they might not be worth $7, (I don't know really, as I don't collect Sacs at the moment), but they aren't coins you can get at the bank, unless someone exchanges them. Phoenix
That is what I like about a coin show. No postage, handling, insurances. And as long as we have a minimum of 3/month within 15 miles, I'll never use the internet.
