My daughters were playing heads or tails this morning while I was ever so slightly paying attention to them and the news . One of them says "this penny has heads and tails on both sides" . I ask to see the coin and sure enough back and front is struck on both sides . Do a little research and find the word Brockage used in describing this error . Any one have any insight into this phenomenom ?

I would guess that it is some sort of epoxy residue left over from 2 other coins being stuck to it. I would imagine that a quick soak in acetone would remove the anomaly.
    Keep up the hunt!

Looking around the forum here and think I answered my own question . Came back to my post and found your replies . Also realised the words are backwards . Should I destroy it ? What a mean joke ! I thought I was going to be able to pay the rent on time for once .

If it is epoxy (it looks like it), good luck getting it off. Acetone will not phase it. Methylene chloride might work in time, but that is not something most people want to play with.
