I recently purchased the Lincoln Cent Redbook and found it not to be exactly what I needed. Does anyone know of one or two good reference books for Lincloln Cent Varieties. Thanks in advance.
The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents 2nd, John Wexler and Kevin Flynn. And the book or digital of the above. jim
Interesting that no one mentioned The Complete Guide to Lincoln Cents by David Lange. Is his book not considered authoritative enough?
I have an autographed copy of David's Mercury Dime book, but I wasn't aware of this one. He's written so many. I don't want to derail this thread, but my favorite possession from David is the medal he designed for the Liberty Numismatic Society of San Mateo, CA. If you look closely, you will see his initials on the top left of the tower. Chris
Thanks for the input everyone, and don't worry about derailing the thread when you can show something like that. WOW beautiful. Thanks for sharing
The Complete Price Guide and Cross Reference to Lincoln Cent Mint Mark Varieties - John Wexler. The price guide is well - way out of date but the cross reference of the Wexler files to the CONECA files is a must have for Lincoln Cent variety collectors.
I think that is a great book and I would highly recommend it, but I didn't mention it since the OP was looking for books on varieties.
