There is only 2 things you will ever know..
If it is all Copper with the weight of 3.11 grams then it was made before mid 1982

If it is a Copper Plated Zinc Blank with the weight of 2.5 grams then it is from mid 1982 until now

And since you posted on the What's it worth forum.. $2.00 through $4.00 depending on the condition and rarity.

I have many raw Blanks and Blank Planchets..
I also have attributed examples in my collection -


You don't need to send yours to get it attributed. It's not worth it.
I just have them for educational purposes.. such as now
