I found this cent but can't find what type of error it is. It is completely missing the obverse with the zinc core exposed. Any ideas what type of error this is and what it's worth?

Looks like someone machined off the obverse to make a "fake" error.

I agree! This sort of intentional damage is often found on coins that are intended to become a "Magician's Coin" using two coins to make either a two-headed or two-tailed coin. Unfortunately, some of the "dildoes" that attempt to make them, screw up and toss what is left of the coin back into circulation. If you look at the inside edge of this coin, you will note that it wasn't machined evenly and is cock-eyed as a result.

The Reverse doesn't look like a Copper Plated Zinc Cent. Looks like a normal Copper Cent to me.
As stated probably machined. It's not possible to strike a coin on just one side and the other side to be blank. You need even pressure on both sides to have a clear strike such as your Reverse shows
Not an error and no extra value beyond 1C
