I have actuall heard of this type from my dealer before when I purchased some bank wrapped rolls of them, he told me to look out for any doubled dies, rather any are known or not, I do not know. I'll shoot him a phone call monday or tuesday and see if he has any more information about it.

Sorry friend, I can't tell anything from your picture.

I will say this though, I have never (and I mean NEVER!) seen anyone who wanted to find an error coin as much as you. ;)

    Keep hope alive! :)

    Distended hub doubling

Here it is This coin exhibits hub doubling that occurred as a result of the raised images on the hub becoming flattened and thicker than normal. When one normal hub is impressed into the die, and then is followed by a flattened hub, the resulting image is much thicker than normal. On extreme examples, you can see notching of the serifs. However, normally all that can be seen is extra thickness to the letters and digits. Being able to quickly detect this kind of hub doubling requires a firm mental image of what a normal coin looks like. See hub doubled varieties.

    Hello,

I can't tell anything from your picture, so I can only offer you what is, so far, the only documented 1964-D DDO Lincoln cent variety.

I would recommend that you closely examine your coin, and see if the markers match the ones shown here.
