I've been considering upgrading my 1926-D, and have noted many obverses, even on F/S coins, have what I think is a very unusual slanting T. Does anyone know why this would occur - could a die deform to cause this. It's the only blemish on an F/S coin I am looking at. I checked pics of many other 1926-Ds and noticed similar slants, but not as extreme. I also noticed a bit of slanting on the same T on 1926 coins. I am attaching a picture (of course) that shows the wild T.

the slanting is the same as that seen on the dates.
