It is my understanding that the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set that will go on sale on October 1 does not have anything in it that has not already been sold this year by the mint. It lists the Classic Design (W)which I assume is the type 1 AE (W) and the new Design (S) which would be the type 2 and both of those have been sold earlier in the year.
Can anyone confirm my understanding as stated above?
    Thank you

The Limited Edition contains coins that are redundant.

But they put them in a pretty little box with a fancy name.

It's a silver proof set with two silver eagles thrown in. I calculated a while back that it's a better deal than buying the proof set and eagles separately but otherwise it's totally redundant.

Well, the Silver Eagles apparently moved the set. Listed as unavailable. Mintage was 50,000.

Yes, sold out as usual. You will have to pay a premium to the dealers and flippers to get one.
