I can see something on the "E" and "Y" of LIBERTY but we really need better close-up pictures to make a decent assessment! I was thinking Machine Doubling or Die Detioration Doubling but can't even be sure of these without better pics.

Because of the quality of the photos it isn’t possible to make any conclusions with this Roosevelt dime.

I think you guys are missing it. Look closer at the profile, especially the nose & forehead. :kewl:

    Ribbit :)

Thanks everyone for your interest and opinions!

I stepped outside into the sunlight, and this was about the best I could come up with with my camera...

Sometimes less light works better. ;) Take it outside in the shade and take the pic. :kewl:

From what I can see, it has the same Machine Doubling that you see on many of the 1969-S "Business Strike" Lincoln Cents!

    Actually, it's a 1996-W.
Tomorrow I am going up to the coin shop, my dealer has much better equipment to view coins :) I'll see if I can score a better pic...

I see light reflection, gets me sometimes. The 'B' and 'E' has it too.

    New collector here...
Could someone quickly explain mint errors like doubled-die etc.(I've seen tons of error names but can't tell them apart)
Are they mostly sought after by collectors because they are errors or do they all (or most) fetch a premium?
    Thanks

Yep the first three don't work. You can always Google the question you have, it's worked for me.

    CW:
    In a nut shell:
    RPM: Re-punched mintmark.
    RPD: Re-Punched Date.
OMM:Overmintmark. example: a D punched over an S, see 1938 D Buffalo nickels, for examples.

    DDO: Doubled Die Obverse
    DDR: Doubled Die Reverse.

Each has different degrees of interest and scarcity, and therefore, value.

    Continue to ask away.

Is there somewhere online that has all of the "key dates" for different coin types?

    Thanks
