liberty head $10 - good buy?

    I bought this coin for $475. Do you all think it's a good buy? Or not?

    Looks like a really nice AU , nice coin , it's a common date , and I don't have a current price guide with me , but it sounds reasonable .

    Although raw gold makes me a bit nervous, for $475, it seems like a good deal.

    Looks original.
    Price is only about $20 above CDN Bid for an AU-50.
    And I think it will get at least that grade.
    I'd rate it a very good buy at $475.

    It would have been a much better buy at $400-$420 but as long as YOU are happy with it and it fills a hole..it doesn't matter what you paid.

    just curious, what's the grade of this gold coin?

    The coin looks raw, but FWIW I'd estimate the grade in the middle AU range.
