Anybody know if that NORFED group's paper money is legal to own? I've been wanting to find some examples for my collection but they haven't been offered for sale. I found this tonight:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-SILVER...874?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item257628d2ea

I know the silver has been confiscated by the Feds, and I thought the paper was too. Do you think this is an OK thing to bid on? It hasn't been flagged yet.

I believe the coins and script are legal to collect, but the silver backing the script was confiscated. Of course, anything can change.

They are legal to own and collect. The government didn't take too kindly to people who were trying to spend them as money and threatening people if they didn't take them.
