I have heard rumors of Liberty coins in circulation with the regular issue series'. I have searched all over the place for an artcle and I cant seem to find anything. Any one from here have better luck? I heard there is going to be Lady Liberty coins from the 1 cent to the half dollar over a couple years. If anyone could provide an article so I cold read more about it, It would be appreciated
So, I still cant find anything on the internet, but I did learn more about them. It will start in 2010, starting with the half dollar. The Liberty half dollar will be produced for one year, along with the Kenedy half dollar. They will both be in circulation. This is to stop any disputes about taking the presidents' off the coins for a year. after the half dollar it will be the quarter in 2011, the dime in 2012, nickel in 2013, and cent in 2014. and after that has yet to be decided. the Liberty designs will not be the same as earlier designs, but will depict what lady Liberty represents today. Where did you read that, Snaz? I usually keep up on all the coin mags and news, but this is the first I've heard of anything like this. Guy~
