Are you referring to the sun rising next to that grain silo? --very midwestern thematically, an authentic slice of KC. Interesting neighborhood, it's called the Crossroads District. Couple of photos of YJs Snackbar next door, which, sadly, was gentrified out of the neighborhood, then failed at their new location. When I heard the news they had gone out of business, it reminded me of learning Riverview in Chicago had closed in 1967 when I was a kid. Chicago has been going downhill ever since, beginning with the riots the very next year in 1968.
18th street. The building with red horizontal panels in the distance is the former KC headquarters of TWA. I was in town for Lyn Knight's Memphis in KC show, June 2018.
