Very cool there Dave, I've always liked Polish coins from the '20s and 30's some of the best designed coins of the 20th century. The US Mint could sure learn a thing of two from the Poles about the limited use of legends on coins.
What couldn't the US mint learn more about? But seriously, its not the mints fault. Law dictates what mottos have to be on US coins, so like most things blame the politicians.
Here's a Korean one (actually a medal) commemorating the 380th anniversary of the Sang Pyeong Tong Bo coins. This is new, too. Just came out this year. Available here: http://www.sujipbank.com/shop/goods/goods_view.php?goodsno=75902&category=002004024
