LOL- some of my new editions, nothing like what has been posted in guess the grades. The two dimes came from a lot for about $48 which also included a 56 and 58-O. The seated dimes were all nice in my opinion. The 1829 was a freebie according to the auction(of course I wanted to threw in a few extra bucks on my bid). The buff came from my visit to the coin store today - just love the golden toning on buff nickels. Also got a really nice 1936 and 1937. How about some opinions on the grades. Well at least on the seated dime and the buffalo nickel. And in general all opinions are welcome. Click on the pictures to see the full size.
Nice buys, Mark. It's too bad the reverse of the CB dime isn't as nice as the obverse, but still, it's not a bad coin. I really like the seated dime. Looks like the reverse has some slight wear, but it's a very attractive piece nonetheless. The buffalo looks great. Not much of a buff person, but I'd guess it's easily mid range MS. The hair details on the buffalo itself are very well defined. Nice coins! Guy~
Sounds like you came out great......As far as grades, I'd say the LS dime is an xf 45 and the buff MS63.
I really was not much of a Buffalo person myself - I always wanted a 3-legger and got that. Since then I always surf through the Buff's at the local coin shop. The other two are actually nicer than this one, but my attempts at photographing them did not work. Those coins make me want to do a set. I might have to try again tonight if I get a chance.
WHAT - just the buffalo and dime? Do I need to ask which dime? LOL -Just kidding Harry. That bust dime has seen a wee tad of wear. I actually bid on the lot because of that coin - well, and I like the seller.
Oh -no!!! You all are starting to make me have a complex about that bust dime. What if I said ed(seller) said it was a JRS-3 R4 coin (I am not good enough to identify it based off the grade of this coin) based off the obverse of the coin.
