How does Legend Numismatics and Legend Auctions have nothing in common? Aren't the principles the same in both essentially? They have had some lovely coins completely out of my league price wise...Laura certainly has not previously been shy in her opinions (to say the least!) - the proverbial 3 yards and a cloud of dust running back that Lombardi would have loved. Well, I am sure we all wish Laura the very best in health and hope that she and the rest of us keep our health in mind on a daily basis following reasonable preventive measures.
Got the email. Surprised. But I think Laura is either not making enough money. Or wants to slow down and has nobody to take over and run it she trusts. Surprisingly i see this fairly often with well established businesses anymore. Nobody to take over so they close
Legend has produced quite a few blunders that went for spectacular money.. I will say that she was a top influencer of the "Market Grading" we have today.
A couple of key people (Julie Abrams and Greg Cohen) left LCRA for Stack's Bowers earlier this year. I thought something important might be happening, but didn't guess it would shut down. I've worked with Greg over the years. He's knowledgeable, helpful and honest. Cal
