The Mint sold a maximum of 50,000 Legacies of Freedom back in 2003/04 and then stopped...Why? Looks like a nice set with the Unc. ASE and two pound british pound silver coins. Probably would have been better in a proof version, but why didn't they continue to sell these? Both the Brits and our Mint are producing the coins anyway, no international cooperation?
Well they didn't sell really well (they weren't promoted ) and possibly also because the British sold the sets at a lower price than the US Mint did.
