The topic title is a little odd, but then ... so is that article. Nothing new in there, and the coin design image that is shown on that page is "dead" anyway. Latvia still plans to introduce the euro in 2014 (see http://www.bank.lv/en/), but even if that actually happens, you won't see that monument on the coins but the CoA and the Latvian Maiden.
