Think these numbers are for 9/3/06. I didn't recieve the latest issue. But last weeks was as of 8/27/06. He puts a box in lower right for the date of data. Any idea how/where Numismatic News gets the production figures?

Any idea how/where Numismatic News gets the production figures?

They discussed that a month or so ago...They call the mint. But even these numbers are suspect as sometimes you will see several weeks of no sales for an item followed by a big jump.

    2006w(r) 9,995 $ x x x

note: in order for gold proof to jump up. mintage should be around 2,500 - 4,000. but the unc version will be a different story. 29,990 mintage is quite low. maybe a winner for gold unc coin. that is also applied to silver eagle. 06 w unc is the winner. period. and the silver unc will be 10 x as high as gold unc. check the 95 w gold and silver 10th anniversary.

If those silver sets don't sell out I might get a couple more, just to see what I can make off the turnaround

am eagle unc pricing is based on bullion value plus some premium on common dates minted. prices ranging from $14.00 (common date) to $80.00.
am eagle proof pricing ranging from $30.00 (common date) to $6,000.00 (1995w). my guess is that the 2006 unc silver am eagle will take charge while that of 2006 silver proof am eagle will not.

I don't know where you get your prices but they are all hyped up---I don't know of anyone that could get $80 for a 1996 ASE....unless it was graded by a TPG at MS69...
As for the rest of them---I can get most any date for under $15 at dealers around here and online...
With silver droping I think they will go down even more.
