Sometimes the hardest thing about ebay is the wait... I don't have this one in hand yet, but I had to share it. I probably paid a little much, but I just don't see Guatamalan colonial coins in this sort of grade every day. This one comes graded by the ICG as AU 53, which seems pretty fair by the images available.
It's in amazing condition and appears to have been sitting in a well-cared for collection for a very very long time.

Well, GD - the way I figure it, there should be plenty out there for the both of us. 50/50. That may change later I was surprised this one didn't get more attention on ebay than it did. I bet if the seller posted it with a lower opening, it would have gone for a higher final. That's always a tough gamble. Worked out well this way for me!
Nice looking coin Rick. I hope it looks as good in person or better. As you point out, the wait is always the not-much-fun part.
