I recently found 3 Lincoln cents that I would consider ERROR COINS. The first is a 1995-D that has DASHES over both of the 9's. Second is a 1993-D that looks like the 3 and D are doubled. Last is a 1972 that looks to be made of BRONZE instead of COPPER. You can view all three coins in my album titled FAVORITE COINS by BLAKE1943. Any comment about these coins would be appreciated. THANKS, BLAKE1943
Greetings Blake, you have a nice selection of old coins in your album. About the errors: the '95D has plating bubbles above the date; and the '93D has DDD (die deterioration doubling). I'm puzzled with the '72...which is the one in question, the left or right? The left almost looks plated with, something like a white metal, but it could just be the photograph.
The one on the left is the one that looks like it is made of BRONZE instead of COPPER. It does not appear to be coated, I found another one exactly like it a few years ago. I put to 197?'s coins side by side to show a comparrison in the color. The left one came out whiter than the actual coin, but I just could not get an accurate color photo, sorry. I will try another photo with different lighting later. Thank you for your input. BLAKE1943
