I had the opportunity to attend World's Fair of Money last week in Rosemont, IL; just outside of Chicago. Had an absolutely blast and spent a few hours exploring displays/collections and the majority of the US coin tables. I really enjoyed the international mint area. I only picked up one random silver ounce 5 Euro ('24 Maltese Cross) as it's not necessarily my main focus in collecting, but it was very neat to explore those tables and see the wide variety of products from around the world. My primary focus for this show was finding the best possible (yet affordable) 1925 California silver half. I'd seen a few examples throughout the show, but once I spotted this MS63, I immediately jumped on it. Shout out and huge thank you to The Reeded Edge, Inc. out of Cumberland, MD. for selling me this beauty! I even got lucky with the dealer being interested in some of the coins I was looking to sell! With this latest addition, my Classic Silver Commemorative set is 44% complete (22 of 50) and currently ranked 212. I might add one or two of the more affordable coins to the set in the coming months, but my next big addition will likely be the Isabella quarter. So here's to hoping the next show has plenty of good looking Isabella quarters Thanks for looking!
