    Nice valerian. Otho is rarer but I like Valleyboy better

    Very nice coins! I dont have a Otho yet but a similar Valerian II. example:
    Antoninian - Valerian II. Caesar - PRINC IVVENTVTIS - Antioch mint

    very nice additions...Otho looks good!..bet that cost a pretty penny :)..my Otho's chipped/broke but my 1st one was a phony so i'm elated to have it! ^^one like it(Victoria Othonis reverse) complete & decent now would run in excess of $1500.00..i'll have to show my Valerian ll with a bronze of Valerian l..:) IMG_1141.JPG IMG_1145.JPG IMG_0399.JPG IMG_0400.JPG Otho, 16mm, 2.40gms Valerian ll, 21mm 2.96gms

    @Bing what is shown on the reverse of your second coin? for me it looks like a witch on a broom:D

    Apart from the Gaius and Lucius denarii designating them as PRINC IVVENT, that is first among the youth. I only have one coin with IVVENTVS, a Claudius II Gothicus Antoninianus, which still has a nice silvering.

    On Imperial coins, Iuventas and Spes are often associated with the reigning Caesar. She was especially the goddess of young men who had just come of age. A supplication to Iuventas and Spes marked the anniversary of Augustus' coming of age and Iuventas was among the many Virtues on the coinage of Antoninus Pius.
