Been a little bit since I've had some time to post anything here. Figured I would share my little splurge the other day.

    1821 - Capped Bust Dime
I can cross this one off my list. She has seen many miles, but the price was something I could easily say yes to.

    1852 Silver Trime
Again - same thing as the Capped Bust Dime - needed one for the list and the price was too good to pass up. What shocked me about this one and the Capped Bust was how wafer thin they were.

    1882 - Seated Liberty Dime
Cross another one off the list.

Also picked up a 1954 Proof Set still with original box, cello, and original tissue paper. Image quality is hampered by the cello around the coins. In person they are still knockout gorgeous at 71 years old!

I think that the 1954 Proof set is a bit underrated. Although the mintage was higher than in previous years, about half of them were messed up because of the mint packaging.

The mint’s decision to switch from the celluloid to plastic sleeves was a bad one. The plastic was not inert, and the coins, the silver coins especially, were very often toned in an unattractive way. Unfortunately you can’t dip the toning off the coin. All of the 1955 box set coins suffered the same fate.
