largest ever hoard of Roman coins found!

    Well it is by far NOT the largest hoard ever found. Maybe its the largest ever found in that field lol.

    I remember that in the middle ages about 400,000 Roman Aurei, (sp?) were found and most melted down for their gold. It is nevertheless a very nice find. I will be interested what the makeup of the emperors will be.

    This is billed as the largest hoard found in Britain and is listed as Valerian/Gallienus through Diocletian/Maximinianus. While there is a possibility there will be something new, it may be a year before we know.
