Out of some of the large pennies, which one is worth the most on an average. I know that grade, condition and year all need to be considered but out of the Australian, Canadian and the British Penny, which one is the best to collect if you could get only one. I have an opportunity to buy, one or all three for around $5.00 each, or maybe only a Brit and Canadian. It's been a couple of weeks since I ran across them and I didn't write down the details. I don't know the years but the latest is like a 1952 or something. I'm posting some pics that I ripped off of ebay just for examples. :secret: Ok, I guess I only have a british penny as an example and a mixed canuck. :goofer:
Without knowing the date on three of them, I'd almost guess that the Canadian penny, located second from the bottom would be your most valuable. I have several like the penny on top and they're fairly common in most cases. Most Australian money that I've come across doesn't have much value, either. However, the Canadian one has some collector value, especially to our northern counterparts. For more accurate information, maybe you could give us dates and possible mint marks? Otherwise, I'm just using guesswork.
Ok, I saw them at an antique store. I think all had the price of $7.50 with 20% off. I know they have a couple of the Brit coins but as far as the one that would carry a higher price, I am not absolute certain that they have that one. I'm working with a 55yr old memory that doesn't always retain very well. So is my paying price going to be alright? All the stores coins look really good. thx
