    Bullet hole. :D

Seriously, though, it looks like a gouge in the coin. A die break would cause that to be raised above the coin, on this one, it is clearly cut into the coin. Damage.

exit wound, lol. Well if it is a scratch isn't this deep enough to instead show zinc. Inside it is still shinny and the color of the electro plating???

could it have been a damaged planchet prior to the strike?

It could be. It might also be a dent that pushed the plating in with it.
Never the less, it's a spender.

No. It does however look as if it may be struck through, but what I do not know.

I didn't think of that, but yes, it could be struck through.

here is two more shots one showing the color very well the other more on the crack. The second shows that where there should be evulsion from a scratch it does not instead the sides are smooth and layered over. Hope this helps more. Ty for the looks! IMG_0116.JPG IMG_0126.JPG

Looks like a struck through. What's that triangle on his nose? Is it raised?

Ya, I asked about that to, I think that one is a hopper dink (lol) now I know what a hopper dink is after all of these years :) it is a weird impression and at an angle looks like a huge nose, but I think that one is possibly PMD.

Or it could a part of what was struck through except that portion was a smooth part and of course on a different portion. Are strike through's worth keeping?

Maybe. You'll have to wait for other opinions, though.
