Large Cent Tip 9/12

    This is a Heritage Auction with an unattributed 1796 Liberty Cap. This is unusual in itself, but I believe there is sufficient detail to attribute it as the S-86 R5. But this is not a no doubter so approach it on this basis.

    Your attribution is correct. The obverse clearly makes it S-84,85,86, or 87 and it is fairly easy to eliminate 84 and 87. The leaf below the O in OF nails it down as S-86. I don't think it is as nice as the one I already have.
