The 56th Semi-Annual Lakeland, Florida Collectorama Coin and Currency Show will be held next weekend, February 14-16, 2014 at The Lakeland Center, 701 West Lime Street, just west of downtown Lakeland. Many national and Florida dealers will be in attendance to buy, sell and trade a wide range of rare coins and currency, bullion Gold, Silver and Platinum, Certified Coins, Proof and Mint Sets, Gold and Silver Eagles, Collector Coins, Medals and Tokens, and many different catagories of fun and popular Collectibles and Paper Americana. Bring this notice and present it to Registration for Free Admission and just mention "Collectorama" at the parking booth for Free Parking. The show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Visiting dealers gain entry to the show's Special Bourse and dealer setup from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday for a $25 (min) donation to Florida Youth Villa. There will be Coin and Currency dealers attending from Wisconson, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, Georgia and other states, and a well rounded group of Florida Dealers as well. Youngsters, 12 or under, will get a daily dip into the Kid's Bucket for a Free Hand Full of Money, and other supplies, books, etc. will also be distrubuted to the youngsters. Dealers and collectors help keep the Kid's Bucket filled up with "numismatic goodies" all weekend. Lakeland is located just off of Florida Interstate I-4 about half way between Orlando and Tampa, and is easily accessable from I-4 via Route 98 South, that then turns into South Florida Avenue, and the downtown Lakeland area. The Lakeland Center is also within walking distance of some of Lakeland's lakes and amazing wild bird sanctuaries. The host hotel is The Terrance Hote (sold out) that features a great 5 Star Restaurant, and is only minutes from the show and close to all the downtown Lakeland restaurants, night spots, and fun activities. Many Coin and Currency dealers from the north attend Lakeland and enjoy the mid-70's warm weather and "hot business" during the show. There will be hourly door prizes all weekend, and a free "appraisal clinic" on Sunday for Coins, Currency and Collectibles. IGC will be on hand for free verbal appraisals and accepting submissions for for Certification and Grading. There will also be an interesting "Hobo Nickel" demonstration on how Hobo Nickels are made, and many youngsters will get the opportunity to make their own Hobo nickel. While the Collectorama Show is primarily a Coin and Currency Show, many of the attending dealers save up their Neat Collectibles for Collectorama as the show attracts a strong public attendance who buy and sell some pretty amazing Collectible and Historical goodies. Collectorana is a great show for the entire family, with a virtual museum on display of America's historical past. All of the 2014 U.S. Mint Products, that have already been issued, will be available at the show, including 2014 Uncirculated and Proof Silver Eagles, and several of the new U.S. Mint Proof Sets. A wide variety of the new and exciting 1 oz.Copper Rounds and Copper Bullets will be available.
