Here is how I did my Mexico Dansco. These albums are rare, hard to find and expensive when/if you do find one. i found this one at a LCS for $10. It was unused but someone had used a sharpie to mark up some of the slots. I used peel off labels to cover the marks as best as I could. Not perfect but for $10 I was happy.
Nice job @sonlarson ! I have a 1916 1c in an NGC XF40BN, and it is my understanding that it is a key date. Can you tell me anything about it? Chris
I've used the P-touch as well. If you really want to get a***-retentive, use a straight edge to square up the labels (like I ended up doing)
I am also a***-retentive. Or you could wait until all holes are filled and make one long label to cover all the coins in that row!!!
I use wider P-Touch labels with center-weighted print for the 1-5/8" inserts that are available with SaFlips. The label is longer, but all you have to do is wrap the ends around to the back of the insert. It makes for a professional-looking SaFlip. Chris
I use clear plastic labels from the Dymo label maker. I can customize the size, characters, and symbols I want to use. Works great, looks like it was almost created that way.
Definite key date. Lowest mintage of Type I or III. 500,000. Value in XF around $150-180. Difference between Type I and III is slightly different mix of Zinc and Tin. Nice coin to have. Type II is the one year only Zapatista(Zapata) 1915 issue.
The best way in terms of permanence and looks is probably hot foil stamping. Never tried it myself, though.
