I know some of you guys have Kookaburra sets, what do you keep them in? I'm tired of them lying around in my safe in their little plastic protectors. I would love to have them in an album of some sorts. I saw Littleton had a album for them, but is that my only option? -Josh

I have a friend who has a massive world bullion collection. Very impressive set of coins. He uses Dansco albums. They are custom made. He paid a good price for them, but he got to pick exactly how he wanted his pages laid out and everything. No dates on the pages, but each binder is custom labeled with the name of the album in the Dansco script. So at first glance, you would never know that they weren't Dansco albums that were bought right off the shelf, but custom made albums for his collection. I don't know how much he paid, but can find out the details if you would like.

Interceptor Shield Storage boxes I store mine in Interceptor Shield storage boxes. I just remove coins from original packaging, leaving them in the clear coin holder though. I place them loosely in the box, some of the boxes hold my 10 ounce coins also. I also place a reusable silica moisture absorbing box in the safety deposit box. I'm not sure how well this works, as i've only been doing it for a short period of time. The Perth mint is coming out with a new 20 coin silver set(all 1 ouncers), on June 19th i think). The coins will carry the same Kookaburra designs that were issued over a 20 year period. Some facts that i'm sure you probably already know: Austrailia was very vital in the Allies winning WW2. The Kookaburra is a cousin of the kingfisher that we have in the US.

Here is what my buddy said when he wrote back to me.... Joe, he needs to pace the order for one thru his coin dealer that sells Dansco. The dealer will have to place the order through his wholesaler who in turn will order it from Dansco. All he should get is an 2" binder and a dozen 12 pocket vinyl pages. He can have the collection name printed on the Binder. Pretty basic, but I am telling you it looks nice. Hope this helps.
i keep all my kookaburra proof big coin sets in my safe, i would never remove them from their perth mint containers, it should pay dividends when i come to sell them, anyway kilo weight coins don't fit into plastic pages very well. mike.
