Just have a question. Anyone here ever try to put say a nickel within a thin Kontains holder and then put it inside a Dansco album?

I'm getting to the point where i would really like to double protect my coins, and at the same time be able to take them out of the Dansco for review and show and tell. Plus I don't want to buy a lot of supplies just to experiment.

On the same line of thought.. handing someone an 8 lb album makes you hope they don't drop it :)
    Thanks ahead of time..

I'm not really big on Dasco albums but with the Whitman Classic Albums you could simply buy the blank quarter album with as many blank pages as you want. Then simply insert your double protected nickels in the quarter slots. You could do the same with putting dimes in the cent slots. Quarters could go into the half dollar slots. Those Kontains will increase the OD of each of the coins but they should easily fit into the next denomination coin album slots. However, I'm not sure why you want to add this excessive protection to your coins nunless you have some very excessively expensive coins. I use the Whitman Classic Albums for all my coins, except the rolls of stuff. I've had some coins in the albums for just about 50 years of so. At my age not sure. The completed sets are kept in a plastic baggie type with as much air squeezed out as possible and dumped into a safe deposit box. I get them out frequently to show friends and then back they go.
If you do use the blank album idea you will want to find out where to get the date transfer stickers. Whitman used to sell sheets of them with dates and miscellaneous lettering such as proof.
