I found this one in change from a vending machine this weekend. Looks like something got in between the sandwiching on the front. Has a small nick or tear under the knot. The backside is flat. Any thought as to its worth.

It is really hard to judge by the picture, but looks like this is damage received after leaving the mint.

These bubbled are made by placing the coin under extremely high heat. The heat causes gas to build between the clad layers and it produces a bulge in the coin. Not an error but altered outside of the mint.

I have a friend who has a bubbled dime dated in 1976 and it is bubbled on both sides. Could this also be where it was heated with extreme heat? His coin does not have flat sides and has all textures.

It sounds like the result of heat to me. Welcome to the Forum ;)
