King of Siam set Sold!

I just heard that someone (probably GDJMSP) sold the King of Siam coin set containing one of the eight 1804 silver dollars in it. The price paid was $8.5 mil. which would be a great deal more than the price paid in 2001, which was $4.5 mil. A nice profit for someone.

Now if I had the other seven dollars minted, I could afford to go on vacation!

p.s. The new owner is Mr. Conturis, a coin dealer.

I know the Great One (Wayne Gretzche, sp?) owned it at one time. I wonder if he was the seller?

I'm sure it would go fast but I don't think to coins...I have some things that I need to have done or things that would be a good idea to buy...like a house or truck (Can you tell I'm a country boy...I said Truck not car )
