Looks like this idiot wants you to leave him feedback before he has paid for the item. He has gotten some negs from some rather prominent sellers on eBay.

Maybe he is on a desperate mission.

he has a personal policy of leaving negative anytime a seller fails to offer feedback as soon as his payment is processed. It seems a bit excessive to me, but to each his own. At least with this guy a seller knows what they are gonna get, and furthermore are able to block him if they would like to. I did, I prefer to have my transactions be completed amicably before any feedback is left. once my customer is satisfied I realy don't care who leaves feedback first, but by waiting I am able to avoid many problems and encourage communication instead of negative feedback.

I find this hilarious for some reason. He gives negative feedback because people don't give him feedback, LOL! Thats a first.

Thing is, what's the motivation exactly? I could understand if he wanted to increase his positive feedback rating (push sellers to actually leave feedback, as many don't seem to bother), but he gives crap and gets crap so in the end, he's just an idiot.

Feedback is bogus anyhow. Of course sellers have wonderful feedback. If you give them a true rating, you'll get retalliation negative feedback which makes you look bad. The one time I left honest negative feedback, the seller immediately gave me the same and said I refused to pay and other lies. I was honest, he was not, but it doesn't matter. Ebay even reversed the strike but wouldn't remove his feedback (which was flase, per the strike).

I just dealt with a idiotic seller with 100% feedback rating. If I left him honest feedback (negative) then all he'd do is return unjustified negative feedback. To share my experience with others, I'd have to take the hit, and I plan on selling a few things in the future and it just isn't worth it. Unfortunately, someone else will have to find out the hard way that this person is crappy.

I don't sell much on eBay anyway, but added this guy to my banned buyer list, just in case.

If you have enough positive feedback, it would take a lot of negative feedback to hurt you much. Most poeple wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell to someone with 95% positive feedback or more. If concerned, they can actually look at your negative feedback and see what it was received for. You can leave a rebuttal if you feel the feedback was unjustified but eBay won't remove it.

I've only had to leave negative feedback once, for a seller who didn't contact me or respont to any attempts I made to contact him after an auction ended, until about 3 weeks later, at which time I decided to buy what I bid on from someone else. That's really the only negative experience I've ever had with others on eBay, not counting a lost package (which the seller replaced, no charge) and a couple of buyers who were a bit slow in responding. I've never had a seller not give me what I paid for, or a buyer not pay for the item they won.

In my "About Me" section I'm pretty clear on my policy with leaving feedback. As a seller or buyer, I hate ont being contacted witihin a reasonable amount of time after the end of an auction. I don't need to be paid immediately, but I expec to be at least contacted within about 3 days ofd sending out an invoice on how and when they intend to pay.

I'll always leave positive feedback once I've succesfully completed a transaction as buyer or seller. I may leave neutral for rude or slow service, where the transaction was at least completed. I reserve negative feedback for failure to contact me in a reasonable amount of time, failure to deliver what I pad for in advertised condition, or failure to pay for an item won from me.

    Hi,
I blocked this guy. The motivation is to have the feedback on ebay before the item shows up. If the item is not as advertised, you are up the creek. Ebay would want to know why you left a positive feedback on the item and that negates using ebay as a place to deal with a bad transaction.
The guy wants a positive feedback so you can't complain about his garbage. It's backfiring though as his negative feedback is calling our attention to his antics.
    Have Fun,
    Bill

I disagree, 95% feedback is ATROCIOUS! I consider anything less than 99.5% positive to be unacceptable and I try to avoid anyone with less than 99.8%. If a seller can't keep their rating above those numbers then they are truly doing a poor job of satisfying their customers. I don't want to take a risk on one of their junky items becoming my problem.

his link was correct, but I want to elaborate a little. This is an invaluable ability. It seems strange that a seller would want to "fire his potential customers" but online bidders can cause problems that this solves. My list is relatively short (15ish blocked buyers) but I think having the ability to block bidders is one of the things eBay has done well.

This guy must wake up on the wrong side of the bed every day.

I must admit that it is no fun to not get ANY feedback one way or the other. The last 3 auctions that I won I used paypal and paid within minutes of auction closing. After receiving the items I promptly left feedback and thanked the sellers. 2 of them replied with thanks but not one of them ever took the time to leave any feedback. I guess they wanted payment within seconds or they just don't want to be bothered with leaving feedback. I would never think of leaving them a negative for not giving feedback but I just think it is common courtesy for both parties one way or the other.

I have updated blocked buyer list also. I just looked at a seller that had about 250,000 feedbacks with 98% positive. He had over 500 neg in the last 30 days, they were just absorbed by his volume.

What I normaly do if I dont recieve feedback after 30 days is send a polite email asking if there was a problem with the transaction, point out I paid promptly and informed them of the items arrival and left feedback. 9 times out of 10 I recieve the missing feedback. Quite often the seller is a busy one and just forgets.
