    IMHO, Looks like PMD. Some type of Chemical spill or reaction.:rolleyes:

    Being buried ( unless in completely dry ground such as a desert) could produce such an effect. Jim

    Or, it was hit by a really small meteor shower! Seriously, my guess is it was in the ground for a while and that is damage caused by the elements!!

    ED. Environmental damage. What type? Who knows for sure, but it certainly didn't leave the mint like that.
