I have yet to find any key dates roll hunting and am trying to keep up hope that I will at some point. Having said that, for inspiration, I was wondering what key dates everyone has found roll hunting (including pics would be great). Thanks for sharing everyone.

Found all the 38 and 39 mintmarks in nickels myself, and multiples of them - just not the '50-D so far. Thought I found one today, but the mintmark must have fallen off. But did find BU 53-S, 54-S nickels just today.

Very cool, especially finding those in BU condition

I find BU nickels back into the 40s occasionally, but the '45-S found last year is one of my favourite.

Finding bu pre 60 is my main motivation for searching nickels.

I have found these two 50-D Jeffersons in the last two years of roll searching:

Never a key date but did find a semi key once. It has been a year or two ago was searching a box of cents and came across a 1970 S small date. To date it's the only one ive ever found in the wild. Have since then sold it and no longer have pictures either. Wasn't a huge find but none the less seems like it sold for $20-$30. Not bad for a $.01 investment.

Aboslutely, $20 for a $.01 purchase is awesome. I haven't found small s yet, but I'm hoping to find one at some point.

I'm pretty sure that Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster are the only two people that spend them.

I found this in a box of pennies and sold it for $20 on ebay. Not bad for 1 cent!
