Kentucky quarter rim error?

Found this 2001 Kentucky quarter coin roll hunting. The edge on the reverse has a weird defect at about the 8 o'clock. The rim isn't damaged, and neither is the obverse. It's a raised spot of what looks like extra metal. And thoughts as to what it could be? Sorry about the photo quality; I don't have a camera and I'm taking these with a phone.

Sorry, still relatively new to this. What's a CUD?

Nice find! You can submit it to cuds on coins as well. When looking on their site you will see where you can email (better photos) the photos of the coin :)
