What constitutes a "PROOF"? I searched $70 of halves strictly for silver then went though them again looking for errors because I was bored to death. I found two 1986 and one 1992 all shiny and clean on both sides! Second question... Are bi-centiniels worth anything? I see they are much shorter in ratio to the regular halves. Are they worth keeping? Thanks all

Proofs are minted in San Francisco. They have "S" mint marks.
Bicentenials aren't worth keeping unless they are the silver issue.

To answer the OP questions, Proofs were made for the Kennedy series in Philadelphia for 1964 and in San Francisco from 1968 – Date. Bicentenial "business strikes" (P and D) are only worth keeping if you think they will grade MS66 or higher.

A much better answer than mine...One should not try to answer questions on CT when they are exhausted :)
