I'm having trouble differentiating between the Kennedy half high relief versus the regular one. Does anyone have some pics that will illustrate this better?
what years? Any? Beyond 1964, some versions of the 50th anniversary (2014) are considered High Relief. Technically I think people consider 1964 and 2014 to be the primary years for High relief, but to me even the 40% silver halves have way more relief than say a modern 2010 Kennedy half, but maybe that's just me. Straight down view doesn't really show the depth / "relief" as well as can be demonstrated by other angles, but check out these two example years below. I think the relief can be more easily compared using the coin reverse. Look at the shield and eagle wings for instance:
