It's true. The web page says "LIMITED", though.

What a blunder... I wish it had 17k mintage.

My 2 sets were just delivered back to Memphis today. My guess there will be another 3,000-5,000 returns in the next week. These will be available for awhile.

 

They were close to selling out and then the returns started coming in, give them a few more weeks.

 

Heh... I have a gigantic box of useless beanie babies.... Plan to give them to my kids.

Why do you think there will be another 3K-5K returns?

 

I got my 2 sets yesterday. They are going back for a refund. The rims of both dollar coins are scraped and beaten. These are supposed to be proofs. Not in my eyes.

 

Both of my medals were just awful. One of the holders had a giant gouge, too. Milk spots everywhere. Might as well have been Maple Leaves.
That said, I was actually pretty pleased with the quality of the dollars. For that reason, I kept the sets.

 

I'll gladly take the rejects everybody
