Kennedy’s Too Close Shave?

Ok, I’ve gradually come to realize that everything I see and find interesting is caused by the demon Post Mint Damage. And I’m sure PMD is no doubt responsible for this too.

    But I have to ask.

I noticed this ‘71 Kennedy has a series of lines running across his neck and jaw. Closer examination makes them appear to be regularly spaced and so probably mechanically caused. Even closer examination shows what appears to be a fissure on the jaw. That in particularly makes me wonder if this occurred at the mint.

So did my arch nemesis Post Mint Damage sneak another one on me or is this possibly something else? 67F71C52-0C91-4F3D-A22E-300251FA433E.jpeg 00493833-D05B-4410-84E6-B51846621E00.jpeg 9B652819-AF7D-4573-ADFC-9A0032CF8D9A.jpeg

My vote is for PMD. The G in god has a gouge/hit mark on inline with marks on neck. Look like raised metal on the sides of lines.

Well wouldn’t the raised lines be there if it was mint damage too? And possibly carried to the G?

Not arguing but I considered those points before posting it.

Not if the "raised lines" aren't raised lines. The low points are not the original surface, they from being pressed in or some sort of impact, that forms the pattern you see. And that would explain the rim damage as well
