I like your keeping pocket change - to me it is the only way to collect moderns. While state quarters will never be worth more than a quarter to me, I still like the hunt on trying to fill in my harris albums. If I get a chance today I will take a picture of two of one of my modern albums. All done from pocket change.
These are part of two books I have completed this year - that means all the coins came from pocket change alone. I also took a picture of some of the extras I put in the book. A few need to be replaced - all my 2001's are not the greated. The nickels, dimes and quarters are proving to be a little harder. Nothing great, but something fun to do.
Cents are my favorites. Nickels, dimes and quarters all seem to wear badly(state quarters are better). Plus, I can not seem to get some dates in change. I don't buy change to fill my books, but at work I buy all the pennies from our little concession(they don't like wrapping them). I also look through the change to see if there are any dates I might need. I can't believe I still need some from the 80's and 90's.
