I don't know if these would be BU because there is a lot of wear on the hair. A lot of the details are worn overall.

I find 1964 nickels that appear to be BU or very close to it all the time, so I will say not keepers.

I see and i guess since they have a 1 billion+ mintage they are [pretty common anyways

Coins in good condition like that aren't "rare" but they aren't exactly common either. If you're going to get into searching nickels and that kind of thing interests you, you ought to try to do a set of the best you can pull from circ for each year/mintmark. I am trying to do that myself and it is pretty tough to do in post war through 1980. And prewar in good condition, forget about it. Those, I think, are truly rare.

The 64's are fairly common, I'd probably save the best 1-2. 63 and earlier haven't been popping up much for me lately.

I just received a 41 nickel in change. It is in pretty nice condition too!

The 41 nickel is quite common to find in bank rolls, due to high mintage. I think any common date nickels will never have any premium value unless in extra fine condition or better. However, I usually hold on to 30's, 40's, 50's if they are in fine or better condition, just for fun.
