I got a series EE 04660409* $20 in change at the bank today when I dumped my change. It's my first star in a larger denomination. It is in pretty good condition, nice corners, just fold marks and a small tear. Should I keep it or spend it? What notes do you usually keep? I'll post pics if you ask.

First nice find, I love getting them. That's a 2004 correct? It's from a run of 3.2 million and if not in crisp condition probably has little to no premium. I keep all the $1 star notes I find because I am putting together a complete run set from circulation. That and I can afford to keep $1 bills because I realize most of them will never be worth much over face. Other then those I pretty much restrict my currency collecting to uncirculated bills.

Yea, I'm pretty sure it was 2004, if not its a 2006. One of the colored, new ones. I thought I put the year, oops, I'll double check later. I guess the tear would be the only thing keeping me from keeping it, I usually keep all interesting $1 too, I think $20 is just too much if it isn't that special...don't like the idea of sitting on it I guess, don't know.
