Although I'm shifting my main focus to franklin halves, I could not stop myself from buying this beautiful Kennedy half dollar. Sorry for the lousy photo, I can't photograph halves that well.
What I don't like about the photo of the 69-S is that it was tilted slightly. I'm not the best photographer, but it really isn't hard to take photos of proof coins from directly overhead. You just have to angle the lighting so that it is reflecting away from the lens. Another cool trick is when you flood the proof coin with light so that the cameo really stands out. Chris
I dont think it's that bad! The reflection might distract a bit from the coin, but I just took about 70 picures of my slabbed Kennedy collection, and the plain vanilla pic of the dcam coins can get pretty tedious. The yellow beneath Kennedy's head makes for an interesting shot. Pic below is good for coin identification, insurance purposes, etc. But kinda boring, yeah?
Also, based on your recent thread, I didnt think your collection had ANY focus? So, how can you shift it to Franklins? I think you could build yourself a nice Kennedy collection for alot less than Franklins. Kemmedy's aren't "cool" yet. Hey, but Ikes are becoming cool now, so I figure in another 10 years, Kennedy's will get come respect.
