Unfortunately the Julius Germanicus Collection sorted out most of it´s more interesting non-Sestertius coins before I signed up for the Secret Saturnaliae. But if you don´t trust Santa or want to give yourself a little treat, take a look at this little Auction which, among other highlights, features a bargain Julius Caesar Denarius, a handsome red Tiberius As, an affordable Vitellius, a Julia Titi Dupondius, a super rare Macrinus As, an entry level Paulina Sestertius, a handsome Sestertius of Julia Maesa, a beautiful Herennius Etruscus, a double Sestertius of Postumus, and a rare Probus variant . https://www.kuenker.de/de/elive-auction/stuecke/63?filter=land&land=4
Some interesting pieces indeed. Your optimism however, did remind me of this thread by @medoraman, a few months ago: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/stages-of-an-auction.360885/#post-4539989 Well, we'd better start saving cash then and hope we get lucky ;-)
The estimates might look affordable, but I would guess that the majority of those coins are going to sell for 4 or 5 times the estimates.
Don't miss the large lots at the end of the sale. There reside the groups of coins more likely to sell in lower price ranges. Of course some lots included a few hundred coins keeping the lot price up there. Dealers in 'collector' grade coins should find stock there to stock for a few years.
I recently purchased a house and had to swear off any more coin purchases this year to my better half. This Künker auction though... such exquisite beauties, and the Flavians especially! I pray that Donna’s statement comes true and they all go for at least 4-5x more so I don’t break my promise
